Effect of PbO and B2O3 on the Physical, Structural, and Radiation Shielding Properties of PbO-TeO2-MgO-Na2O-B2O3 Glasses

The process of melt quenching is utilized in the preparation PbO-TeO2-MgO-Na2O-B2O3 glasses. effect PbO and B2O3 on physical, structural, radiation shielding properties present glasses have been presented this study. As lead concentration rises, both density molecular weight rise, climbing from 3.283 to 3.923 g/cm3 105.638 128.675 g, respectively. utilization as an alternative contributes increase overall number at-oms, which turn molar volume. XRD spectra show that samples are amorphous. different bending stretching vibrations bonds shown by FTIR spectra. mass attenuation coefficient (MAC), linear coefficients (LAC), half-value layers (HVL), effective atomic (Zeff) were calculated using Phy-X software within energy range 0.284–2.506 MeV. These obtained verdicts advocate pre-pared Pb4 glass containing highest showed supreme ability comparing rest According these results, it can be said weighty additive composites for composition interest shielding.
